St. Patrick's Day Parade
The club has once again entered the St. Patrick's Day Parade. Last year we won the Sports Category and would like to build on the success by having a larger representation. This year's theme is Leprechauns and the organisers are hoping to set a world record on the day, so everyone is asked to wear Leprechaun costumes. Further details will follow.
Club Nursery Programme
The Club Nursery programme continues each Friday in the Ursuline College from 6pm to 7pm. The programme is open to all children aged 5-8. Registration is online on www.coolerastrandhill.com and includes club top, shorts and socks.
Last week's Lotto numbers for a jackpot of €10700 were 8, 19, 20, 21. There were no winners, but Peadar Macken and Michael were Match 3 winners. Next week's jackpot is €10800. Tickets cost just €2.00 and are available in Bree's Bar, Coolera House and Keane's Centra or committee members. The draw takes place each Monday in the clubhouse.
The u14 hurlers recently had their third astro blitz in Ransboro. An enjoyable day's hurling saw the Kevin Davitt yellow Sligo team beat near neighbours Tadgh Doggett's Galway in the final 5-3 while Conor Finan's Kilkenny beat Hubert Healy's Cork 6-4 in Shield Final. A special mention must go to the 2 youngest boys Sean Kinane and Diarmuid Whelan who scored some fine goals including a couple against their older brothers' team. U14 indoor hurling continues on Wednesday nights in St John's N. S. from 7 to 8pm. Strength and Conditioning training takes place on Friday nights from 8 to 9pm in Sligo Tennis Club. Preparations for the new season are starting to take shape nicely.
